The University of Wisconsin Preventative Research Center is looking for study participants

The University of Wisconsin Preventative Research Center is working to help improve birth outcomes in the Black community. Our goal is to better blood pressure management strategies for Black birthing people. We are hoping to gain the perspectives of people who supported a Black birthing person during or after their pregnancy with the goal of making current care models more culturally conscious.

Participants are invited to attend 3 virtual group concept mapping sessions.

SESSION 1 (1hr) - $25

SESSION 2 (2 hrs) - $50

A FREE, one-of-a-kind research workshop for an energizing, engaging, and fun evening! Dive into meaningful conversations about health and the importance of diverse participation in clinical research, savor delicious food, and connect with neighbors and friends. Are You Experiencing Cancer?
The Carbone Cancer Center of UW Health is beginning a cancer education group to support African American and Black individuals who are interested in education, support, and encouragement as they travel this difficult road. Now weekly! Age Friendly Computer Training Class. Grab Your Laptop and join us at Mt. Zion Baptist Church  (2019 Fisher Street, Madison, WI). Every Wednesday 12-2pm. Laptops provided, Transportation available, and lunch served.

Community Listening: Workplace Discrimination

Join the City of Madison’s Equal Opportunities Commission and Civil Rights Department for a powerful evening of community dialogue and building awareness about racial discrimination in the workplace. It’s your opportunity to share your story in a safe space, hear from others, ask questions, and find out how to report inequities and discrimination safely and effectively. Real change begins with real conversation! Open to the public; all are welcome. Light refreshments will be provided.
